This class is designed for parents in the first six months of parenting- a huge journey into parenting that can come with so many questions! This class was designed and is facilitated by Carol Peat, a Perinatal Support Practitioner for the last 25 years, a Mum to three, a parent educator and a Certified Becoming Us Family Professional. Carol has been educating and supporting new families in the childbearing years in many different roles and feels that those early months of parenting are fraught with uncertainty, questions and so many unknowns. This class will explore:
Your emotional landscape as a new parent
How your relationship has changed as a new parent
What your newborn is telling you
How the territory of parenting is so very different than the map we had planned out in our heads
How parenting awakens aspects of ourselves we never even considered
How to navigate communication as a couple in parenting
The importance of extreme self care
Concerns, questions, wonderings about the new journey that you are on!
This will be a "brown bag" group where you bring your lunch, your tiny human and all of your questions. We value community and the building of relationships in a safe, non judgemental environment.
The class will run for six weeks from November 3rd to December 8th. Cost is $65. Email Carol at kilty67@sympatico.ca to register.
